What to do when the code does not arrive

Usually the code shows up shortly after the service sends it. When it does not, work through the steps below. Whatever happens, you do not pay for a number that never receives a code.

Check the basics

1. Is the number entered correctly? Use Copy number instead of typing it. Make sure the country selected in the other service matches the number and that the dial code is not entered twice. See How do I enter the number?
2. Did you ask for an SMS? Some services offer a phone call, an e-mail or a message in another app instead. Only SMS messages reach SmsGrab.
3. Did the service accept the number? If it shows an error such as "this number can't be used", no code will come. Cancel the number and try another country.

Why codes are late or never arrive

• The service is slow to send, or only sends after you ask again.
• Some services limit or block temporary numbers, or numbers from certain countries.
• Temporary numbers are reused over time, so a service may refuse a number that was used with it before.

How long should I wait?

The number is yours for 20 minutes. If a few minutes pass with nothing, ask the service to resend the code once. If there is still nothing, there is no need to wait until the end: cancel and try another country or service.

Cancel or let it expire: both are refunded

• Cancel: tap Cancel number while you are waiting for the first code. The full price returns to your balance at once.
• Let it expire: if no code arrives within 20 minutes, the number is released and the full price is refunded automatically.

The refund appears in your Wallet as its own entry, with its own receipt.
