What is SmsGrab?
SmsGrab rents temporary virtual phone numbers, so you can receive SMS verification codes without giving out your own number. Use it here on smsgrab.com, and soon in the Android app.
How much does a number cost?
It depends on the service and the country. The exact price is shown before you buy, and it is paid from your balance. Prices are set and charged in US dollars; amounts in other currencies are converted live at the current exchange rate.
What happens if no code arrives?
If no message arrives before the number expires, the full price goes back to your balance automatically. You can also cancel before any message arrives and get the price back.
Can I use the same number again later?
A one-time activation is for a single service and stays active for the time shown on its screen, usually 10 to 20 minutes depending on the service and country. After that, numbers are usually given to other people, so do not use a temporary number for accounts you may need to recover later, such as banking, government services or your main email account.
Will every service accept the number?
Not always. Whether a code arrives depends on the service, the country and the provider, and some services block virtual numbers. That is why a number that receives no message is refunded automatically.
Do I need to create an account?
On the web, you sign in with your email and a password, and the account is created the first time you sign in. In the app you can also start as a guest; a guest account lives only on the phone that created it, and you can bring it to your browser with a one-time code from the app.
Can I use SmsGrab in my browser?
Yes. Sign in on smsgrab.com with your email account, or open Settings > Sign in on the web in the app and enter the one-time code on the website. It is the same account, with the same balance and the same numbers.
When can I download SmsGrab?
The Android app is coming soon to Google Play. It is not in the store yet, so please do not install copies from other sources.
How do I delete my account?
In the app, go to Settings > Account > Delete account. On the web, sign in and open Settings > Delete account. Deletion takes effect immediately. If you cannot do either, write to support@smsgrab.com from the email address of your account.
