How your balance works

Your SmsGrab balance is kept in US dollars. Here is what adds to it, what is taken from it and where to see every movement.

Every purchase in SmsGrab is paid from your account balance. The balance is kept in US dollars and belongs to your account, so it is the same in the app and on the website.

What adds to your balance

  • Refunds of numbers that received no code or were cancelled in time.
  • Promo codes you redeem. See Promo codes.
  • Invite rewards when a friend you invited qualifies. See Invite friends and earn credit.
  • Adjustments made by our support team.

What is taken from it

  • The price of each number, at the moment you buy it.
  • Rentals and rental extensions, when rentals are offered.
  • Purchases made through the developer API, if you use it.

Where to see it

The Wallet lists every transaction, newest first, with its type (such as Number purchase, Refund or Promo code), the amount and your balance right after it. Open an entry to see its receipt.

Not enough balance?

If your balance is lower than the price, SmsGrab tells you how much is missing before anything happens. A purchase is never charged in part.

Your own currency

You can show prices and your balance in another currency. This is only a display conversion: everything is still charged and kept in US dollars. See Prices in your own currency.
