Creating an account and confirming your e-mail
Sign up with your e-mail or start as a guest, confirm your address, and reset a forgotten password.

Two kinds of accounts
- E-mail account. You sign in with your e-mail address and a password. The first sign-in with a new address creates the account, in the app or on the website. You can sign in on any device, and your e-mail lets you reset the password.
- Guest account. In the Android app you can start without an e-mail. A guest account is a real account with its own balance and history, but it has no password and lives on the phone that created it. You can still use it on the website with a code from the app. See What is a guest account?
Choosing a password
Use at least 8 characters, and not your e-mail address. Very common passwords are refused. A password manager makes this easy.
Confirm your e-mail address
After you sign up with an e-mail address, we send you a confirmation mail in your language. Open the link within 24 hours to confirm the address. If the mail does not arrive:
- look in your spam or junk folder;
- ask for a new mail under Settings > Security > Email address in the app, or under Account > Security on the website. You can ask for up to three mails per hour.
A confirmed address is needed for two-step verification and for the developer API.
Forgot your password?
Choose Forgot password? on the sign-in screen and enter your address. If an account uses it, you receive a reset link that is valid for 1 hour. Setting a new password signs you out on every device. If two-step verification is on, it stays on.
Changing your password
In the app, open Settings > Change password; on the website, Account > Security. Every other device and browser is signed out afterwards.
